Here are my thoughts on the Gorilla post.

My first reaction was one of horror.  But then , what the gorilla made sense. It tried until the last moment to save the kid. Throwing out the kid might have killed it.  Also , even of the kid escapes , the chances of it surviving is very low.  If the species has to survive , the survival is better ensured by the gorilla’s escape rather than its kid’s.  QED

Now,  Would the humans have done the same ?
